Donations & Scholarships
  • Since 1989, the Dr. Alexander A. Granovsky Pest Management Scholarship has recognized a student in the Department of Entomology at the University of Minnesota for outstanding professional interests and studies related to pest management, with a particular focus on Urban Pest Management. The award is made in memory of Dr. A. A. Granovsky who was a professor of Economic Entomology at the University of Minnesota. This is an annual award presenting $1,000.00 to a recipient each year.
  • Each year, we sponsor up to 12 student memberships to Entomological Society of America (ESA) for distinguished abilities in resolving real-life entomological problems & superior presentation efforts in the course Problem Solving in Entomology for students at Texas A&M University.
  • During the mid 1980's, in support for one of the first Urban Entomology Chairs in the nation, Dr. Ted & Nancy Granovsky donated over $10,000 for this position at Texas A&M University, in the Department of Entomology.
  • Provides financial support for the Annual Spring Banquet in the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University.

Recognitions
  • 2007     Members of the Entomological Society of America elected Dr. Ted to a 3 year term as Treasurer for the Structural, Veterinary and Public Health Section within this professional society.
  • 2002     Received,  with Jeff Neill of JN-Productions and Ole Dosland of Copesan Service, Inc., “The Videographer Award of Distinction” for the video drama “When Words are Not Enough  /  Good Documentation Practices” regarding how documentation plays a key role for pest management service providers, especially if you end up in court.   
  • 2002     Received,  with Jeff Neill of JN-Productions and Ole Dosland of Copesan Service, Inc., “The Communicator Award of Distinction” for the video “The IPM Specialist:  Many Things to Many People” regarding the multidimensional responsibilities of pest management service providers. 
  • 2001    Recognized for his three technical presentations during the 13 FOAPMA Convention and  International Exhibition of Pesticides, Material and Equipment held in Taiwan, 12 – 14 Sept. 2001.
  • 2001    Presented with a Cartoon rendition by Biologist Hugo Ponce from Mexico of Dr. Ted as a speaker with signatures of worldwide Bayer representatives attending the Second Environmental Health World Workshop, Cologne, Germany.
  • 2001   Received,  with Jeff Neill of JN-Productions and Ole Dosland of Copesan Service, Inc., “The Communicator Award of Excellence” for the video drama “When Words are not Enough / Good Documentation Practices”  regarding effective documentation related to pest control services.
  • 2001   Received,  with Jeff Neill of JN-Productions and Ole Dosland of Copesan Service, Inc., “The 2001 Videographer Award of Distinction” for the video “Physical Pest Management Practices”
  • 2000    Received, together with Jeff Neill of JN-Productions and Ole Dosland of Copesan Service, Inc.
  • “The Videographer Award 2000”for the video drama “A Matter of Life and Death” and integrated training program regarding Good Manufacturing Practices ( GMPs ) in the Food Processing Industry.
  • 2000  Recognized by the Pest Control Association of Singapore for his presentations during the Second  International Pest Control Convention, held 21 – 23 June 2000 in Singapore.
  • 1999    Recognized by the Mexican National Pest Control Association for technical assistance.  Presented in Iztapa * Zihuatanejo during annual convention.
  • 1997   Installed to "Consejo Consultivo Cientifico" (Scientific Consulting Board) in the areas of Entomology and Integrated Pest Management by the Camera Argentina de Empresas de Control de Plagas (Argentine Assoc. of Pest Control Businesses) at a special act held in the Scientific Society of AR.
  • 1997   Named "Comisionado Nacional" for international relations in English for the Mexican Pest Control Association. 
  • 1997  Recognized by the Pest Control Association of Singapore for his three presentations during the First International Pest Control Convention, held 2 – 4 July 1997 in Singapore.
  • 1996   Named "Socio Educativo y Cultural / Honorary Member " by the Mexican Pest Control Association at their XII National Congress in Queretaro.
  • 1996    Recognized by SECPAC in Monterrey, MX for his conference presentations on Integrated Pest Management and Pesticide Safety, October 19, 1996.
  • 1994    Presented "Professional Deeds Award" by Pi Chi Omega, (Honorary U.S. Pest Control Society) for commitment and dedication to training and promotion of Urban Entomology.
  • 1992/93    Elected to be Certification Board Director for the Entomological Society of America during the transition from the American Registry of Professional Entomologists to Board Certified Entomologists.
  • 1990    Was inducted as an Honorary Member / Socio Benemerito into Paraguayan Entomological Society for distinguished contributions to the development of entomology in Paraguay.
  • 1988    Selected by the President of the Entomological Society of America to a 2 year term on the Governing Board of the American Registry of Professional Entomologists in representation of the ESA President.
  • 1988    Recognized by the "Union de Companias de Control de Plagas Urbanas A.C." for  valued assistance provided to the "Union".  Presented in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua, MX.
  • 1988    Recognized by the Board of Directors of the Mexican Pest Control Association for technical assistance provided during 1988.
  • 1984    Named "Colaborador Distinguido", for continued entomological, scientific and technical contributions to the College of Agriculture in Paraguay, National University of Asuncion, College of Agriculture, San Lorenzo, Paraguay.
