How are our services Green?
- For the past 25 years, we have not sprayed a pesticide in any health care, food industry, or pharmaceutical facility.
- The root of our philosophy is Integrated Pest Management (IPM) which is an environmentally sensitive approach to pest control- meaning that we incorporate various tactics to solve pest problems cost effectively.
- IPM also helps a pest manager avoid problems with insect resistance by reducing the dependence of pesticides, by combining chemical and non-chemical tactics to avoid the chemical treadmill that generates resistance in a pest population.
- Chemical
controls should be considered as the last resort, but does not mean
that chemicals are prohibited. IPM programs often reduce pesticide use.
